Not for Flash Start. Your Brand Brain and skills work inside Claude independently of your other tools. For AI Supercharge engagements, we can connect Claude to your existing software so they work together — but you don't have to change platforms or migrate anything.

Claude has a mobile app for iOS and Android, and your Brand Brain and skills work the same on mobile as on desktop. If you're primarily on your phone, we take that into account when configuring your skills so the workflow fits how you actually work.

The ABA has taken the position that it is. Comment 8 to ABA Model Rule 1.1 states that competent representation includes keeping current with "changes in the law and its practice, including the benefits and risks associated with relevant technology." ABA Formal Opinion 512 (2023) specifically addresses generative AI and the duty of competence. Colorado Rules of Professional Conduct track the ABA Model Rules closely, and the Colorado OARC is a resource for attorneys with state-specific questions. The short version: understanding what AI can and can't do for your practice is increasingly part of your professional obligation.

The key is keeping AI at the administrative layer — away from anything that constitutes "information relating to the representation of a client" under Colo. RPC 1.6. We do not connect Claude to client files, case management systems, or any confidential matter-specific information. This approach lets you capture the time savings of AI while staying clearly on the right side of your confidentiality obligations.

Not in scope: Drafting documents for a specific client matter, processing case files or transcripts, generating legal advice for a specific situation, or anything touching information protected under Rule 1.6. We're explicit about this boundary in every engagement.

Anthropic's consumer plans (including Claude Pro) use conversations to improve their models by default, though you can opt out in account settings. For attorneys with heightened confidentiality concerns, Anthropic offers enterprise plans with stronger data handling commitments. We discuss this as part of every legal professional engagement and help you configure Claude in a way that's consistent with your obligations. Because we keep client data out of Claude entirely, the risk profile is significantly reduced regardless of plan.

A prompt is the instruction you give an AI — what you type before it responds. The quality of what you get back is directly tied to how well-written that instruction is. Most people prompt AI casually ("write me an email") and get generic results. A well-structured prompt that includes context, format, tone, and goal produces dramatically better output. Our Brand Brain and skills handle the prompting for you — so you don't need to become an expert to get expert-quality results.

Agentic AI refers to AI that can take a sequence of actions on its own — without you supervising each step. For example: an AI that receives a customer inquiry, looks up your availability, drafts a response, and sends a confirmation — all without you touching it. This is what the AI Supercharge automations do. Flash Start is not agentic — you're still in the loop for every action. Agentic AI is more powerful but requires more scoping and setup. If you're just getting started, Flash Start is the right entry point.

A skill is a pre-configured Claude setup for a specific, recurring task — like a proposal writer or a newsletter generator. You activate it by asking Claude to do the task; it responds immediately with on-brand, structured output. An automation runs without you asking — it's triggered by an event (a new email, a completed job, a new review) and takes action on its own. Flash Start includes one skill. An LLM is the underlying technology that powers AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT. It's trained on enormous amounts of text and learns to predict and generate human language. You don't need to understand how it works internally — just that it's remarkably good at reading instructions and producing useful text.
